Painting Dreadfleet

OK, I haven’t been posting much recently as I’m concentrating on my painting efforts. About a month ago I picked up Dread fleet at my local Games Workshop and  tried to get the set painted without much luck.

The one area that’s causing me major issues is the sails. The actual decals on the sails are raised areas so they’re  painted by freehand and it’s causing major issues. One sail has taken me two weeks and I still haven’t finished the bloody thing. Lets just say I was getting a bit depressed about the whole thing and was about to give up…

Then this weekend I thought I’d try something different and had a go with the scenery sections and I am sooo glad I did.

This has really motivated me to keep going and I’ve even retried doing the sails again (AAAaaagh!)…

Think I will go and cry into my tankard….
